When importing products from outside the EU, a customs bonded warehouse acts as temporary storage whilst cargo is being processed and before it is released for UK circulation or onward export. During this time goods can only be stored in customs approved facilities such as our depot in London.

As an independent freight forwarder, CCT operates its own External Temporary Storage Facility (ETSF ) Warehouse allowing cargo to be moved from port to warehouse prior to customs clearance.

Customs bonded warehousing allows for longer term storage of uncleared cargo allowing importers to defer their tax and duty payments until cargo is ready to be used/sold thus improving cash flow.
