Record breaking winds are currently hitting South China and will continue to Vietnam in the coming days. Nearly two million people from southern China in the province of Guangdong have been evacuated as Typhoon Ragasa draws closer.
There will inevitably be delay to sea and air freight alike as ports and airports will suspend operations and vessels wait elsewhere until the storm has passed. As this coincides with the upcoming Golden Week holiday we suggest to get in contact with any manufacturers in this region to check if they are having any issues with delivering cargo to port in time. CCT China (Shenzhen office) are working hard to make sure all cargo meets the planned vessels.
You can follow more information about the typhoon via all major news outlets such as the BBC and SKY.
CCT will monitor any shipments closely and update clients as and when delays occur. If you have any questions regarding how this could influence your shipments, then please get in contact with your customer service representative on: customerservice@cctworldwideltd.com
